December 2010

We had a great December. After going to the Bell Ringers on Temple Square in November, which was absolutely amazing, we were able to attend The First Presidency Devotional, Michael McLean's Forgotten Carols, and The Tabernacle Choir Christmas Concert with various members of our family. It was a great way to get in the Spirit of the Season.

Our kids with spouses/boyfriend got together on Tuesday before Christmas. They had a great time together watching family videos and just spending time with each other. I'm really glad they were able to do this. It doesn't happen very often, hopefully many more times to come.

The Thursday before Christmas when we had the grandkids while Jessica was working, Heather came over to make some cupcakes for her work. Macy helped her. It was so much fun. I have pictures but they won't download. I'll try again later.

The kids came over on Christmas Eve and we spent a great evening together. We watched a video of the birth of our Savior put out by the church and then opened gifts. It was great being together as a family. Heather and George stayed the night (also the next night so we could play games). On Christmas morning, after Steve made Heather and George and Bethany and Jordan (Bethany's boyfriend) their omelets, we headed over to my parent's house and had a great visit. Heather and Bethany learned things from Grandma and Gramps that they had never heard before. We then went back home and relaxed and played games. Bethany and Jordan went to dinner at his aunt's house (George and Jordan are both from out of state and don't have their families here, except for Jordan's aunt, so we got to have the 4 of them pretty much to ourselves, whereas Matthew and Nathan need to split their time between us and their wive's families). When they came back we did some Just Dance on the WII. What a fun day.

On Sunday, we headed down south to hear Heather speak in Sacrament meeting. We then had lunch at Heather and George's house and watched some videos of the kids when they were little. Funny stuff. We all then headed over to Nathan and Jessica's house to spend time with the grandkids while Nathan and Jessica went somewhere they needed to be. So much fun playing with them. They are the cutest things on this earth!

The week after Christmas just pretty got back to normal, work and life, while Steve and I anxiously awaited our vacation to Arizona. We hope you all had a very Merry Christmas.
