Day 2 of Mali's life

The new family

We've been waiting for this picture for a very long time.
I asked Lavern about her name today. Mali'i is the last part of Lavern's mom's very long name and Grace is from the grace of God which Lavern attributes this miracle to. We thank our Heavenly Father for this great blessing in our lives.

May 2011

These are pictures of Macy and Colt playing with my mom's marble game. My dad got right down on the floor with them. The brown one is my mom's. The red one is the one I went and got from Grandma Hatch's room so each of the kids had their own. This red one is older than I am. I have no idea how old it is. I played with this as a little kid at Grandma Hatch's house. I'm now having one made for me so my grandkids will have on to play with and get memories from.

April 2011

In April. Uncle Ralph and his daughter Robin came for a visit. It was great. Robin and I were able to get into the Saturday morning session of conference. It was great to be there with her. After conference, we walked to the old home of our Grandma and Grandpa Smith. The sweet girls who live there let us go in and look around. Oh, what memories it brought back. What a beautiful home it still it. It was so much fun spending time with her and Uncle Ralph.
Easter pictures.

Wow, times flies by.

Picture from Macy's 3rd birthday.

Macy's Princess cake.

Cold amid the wrappings.
Macy with her 2 pair of cowboy boots. Both grandmas have good taste and think the same.
Macy with her Dora chair from Aunt Heather and Uncle George.
Just a random picture because I think it's a cute picture of Jessica and there aren't many pictures of her anywhere. She's a wonderful daughter-in-law.

Heather and Macy decorating Valentine's Day cookies.

Biggest highlight of February--my birthday. Heather made dinner for us all at her place the day after. What great fun we had. Among the gifts I got was Matthew telling us he and Lavern are expecting a baby in July, so #3 is on the way. I love being a grandma. The night of my birthday, Steve and I went over to my parent's house after we went to dinner. While there, I got a phone call from Nathan. After a bit of coaxing, Macy sang Happy Birthday to me. That was the best gift ever.

Actually, the best part of the month was getting to have Macy and Colt over for 3 nights while Nathan and Jessica went to Las Vegas for Nathan to play in a Rugby tournament. We had so much fun. Nights were a little rough as the kids were sick and missed their beds, but overall we had a great time. I look forward to the next time, but I think we'll do it at their house until they get a little older.

While they were here, Heather came over and we decorated cookies. Macy loves doing that. It's a great tradition we started last Easter. This time was heart cookies for Valentine's Day. She made some special ones for her mommy and daddy and we all ate our share.
